Opening, closing and locking the upper half are hydraulically actuated. The MD-30 is equipt with a PLC system which includes an operator interface terminal and includes the following process control functions:

• Display and control the extrusion process parameters
• Implement the necessary control logic for production, maintenance and diagnostics
• Provide process control parameters in a memory module
• Print selected process conditions upon request, or at preset intervals
